Lately I’ve been super caught up in questions. I question what God’s best is. I question if he cares about me. I question how to use my time and what to do when I’m taking a break. I feel so caught up in all that mess that I forget to notice what God is doing in my life. So this morning I’m going to jot down a few things he has done. These are such bright reminders that he does care, and in fact loves me more than I can imagine or comprehend. Also, this post is short in the hopes that after you read it, you’ll think over yesterday (or last week, or last month) and see what amazing things (however “big” or “little”) God has been working on in your life. Feel free to leave them in the comments below. As for my list…
- I wanted to go on a missions trip, but I searched everywhere I could think of and nothing worked out. I realized I was doing it in my own strength and not relying on God. So I prayed, “Lord, if you want me to go on a missions trip, have someone ask me,” and put the thought aside. A little while later I got an email from a dear friend…asking me if I wanted to join her church on a missions trip!! Then, I had to raise some money for it, and God provided just the right amount to get the passport card I needed. I don’t have the rest yet, but God also brought along a job that should cover the majority of the cost.
- I’m in rehearsals for a show, and I realized I’m more memorized than I thought. *deep sigh of relief*
- God is patient and faithful, teaching me the same lesson in different ways and picking me up when I fall. He also provides patient, loving, and uplifting family and friends. Today I’m especially grateful for his rest, and that we can rely on him to take care of everything.
We serve the Ruler of All, the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace, and our personal Savior. Today, let’s thank him and watch for his work in our lives.
